T-Car-Pack B - Black Chasseur Company, round hats with crests.

Similar contents to Pack A with a millinery amendment (that's a posh way of saying different titfers!) ["tit-for-tat" = hat - for the benefit of non-Cockney readers]

Historical note: The British recruited these companies to fight the war on St Domingue (later Haiti), 1793-98. They were also used on campaigns on other Caribbean islands. British officers were often seconded from their regiments to command these companies: they would usually wear their old uniforms, with tropical adaptions. Total strength of the Black Chasseurs reached about four & a half thousand. Later many of them were amalgamated to form new West Indies Regiments.
