GiM077 - JAN ŽIŽKA

Žižka was the most successful Hussite battlefield commander. He learned his trade (and lost an eye) as a mercenary fighting against the Teutonic Order, but came to prominence leading Hussite troops to a series of victories won using their trademark battlewagons. In 1421, another wound left him totally blind, but he added to his reputation by continuing to lead his armies in battle. Legend has it, on his deathbed, he ordered a war drum to be made from his skin so he could still inspire his troops.

Ideal as a leader for Never Mind the Billhooks – Bohemia!
